Player  harpsichord

Picture
I am super excited, we have a Harpsichord, a broken one. What has happened is that in the back of my AP Music Theory classroom there was a harpsichord, it was broken and unused. They wanted to get rid of it, so they allowed us to take it home. It's now sitting in the workshop, waiting to be fixed, and maybe be made into a Player Harpsichord.

Type of Harpsichord

Took a few weeks, but this Harpsichord is one of the earlier Harpsichord kit models by Zuckermann. It's a 5’ straight side kit harpsichord with 57 notes (A-f) and was offered in the 1960’s. They don't make these kind of jacks anymore, and I don't think they make this particular kit anymore either, but they offer lots of other looking one on their website (http://www.zhi.net/). It doesn't fully look like a harpsichord back in the 16th through 18th century, but I want to make it look a little more like that time period.

My goals for this project

My goals are:
1. To work on the harpsichord on Saturdays and Sundays, whenever I have time.
2. Vlog when  work, or as much as I can. I want to make a YouTube channel starting with this project.
3. Learn somethings on the way, this is more of a solo project for me (Hope), so this will be an adventure
Here is someone else's player Harpsichord, and how it sounds. When I make mine I want it to be able to play multiple songs, but also play little small melodies that I will make.
